
To draw this amazing year to an end, the Masquerade Summer Ball was a sell out and was the best event yet and a perfect way to remember the year. It began with a beautiful Pimms reception on the Priests Lawn with fiery carnival entertainers performing through the night. Dinner was in the Waldegrave Drawing Room for 120 guests before the entertainment started for 1,200 guest. Aerialists from Cirque du Soleil were the highlight of the fairground entertainment with their mesmerising act, suspended on ribbons 20 feet in the air, Headlining the night were the Shapeshifters live in the SU, with other live bands and DJ's showcasing our student talents. At day break a boat trip down the Thames provided the calm after the storm.
