Clubs & Societies
Welcome to the wonderful world of St Mary's Clubs and Societies! Clubs and Societies are HUGE at the college with just under half its students participating in either a club or society and sometimes both.
A quick introduction about myself, I am Eric Boateng and I'm the Athletic Union President for 2007/08, it's my job as elected by last years students to look after and co-ordinate the clubs and societies. All clubs and societies are student based, student led, student run meaning that it is the students themselves that put the time and effort into making the different activities as great as they are.
We have 21 clubs and Societies currently running within St. Mary's Students Union, with many of the clubs participating at a high level within the British Universities Sporting Association or BUSA to its friends. For a small university of just under 3000 students we do pack a punch in the world of university sport, ranking in the top 30 for sport in the United Kingdom.
