Kingston Hospital are looking for students to attend between 0700-1000 on the day of the exercise which will be in early December to play casualties and relatives in a real life emergency simulation to be based at the hospital.

Casualties will be broken down into three types:
P1 – Requiring immediate life saving medical treatment

P3 – Walking Wounded

P1 and P2 casualties will be brought into the A&E department by ambulance crew and will be treated in Resus or Majors, some may be transferred to theatres or ITU as necessary. It is important to stress that at no time will volunteers be given any medications, injected or put in plaster.
Relatives will be asked to present to different areas of the hospital to test the relatives reception centre.

All participants will be given a card with information relating to their condition or the relative that they are looking for and will be briefed before.

Students will not be paid for this but will be able to claim £10 to cover travel expenses, if you walk, you’ve made a tenner!
